Cocoa Daisy Scrapbook Layouts | February Kit Pop Fizz

February is almost here. We are not snowed in like most people were but it is kind of grey and dreary here anyway.  Without all the pretty snow to look at!

I am so excited to be working with my Cocoa Daisy kit again.  I love the colors, patterns and textures in the Pop Fizz kit.  They are bright, bold and lovely.  Just the thing to wake you up in the middle of winter!

Family Bliss | I love it when a plan comes together.  Like having three kids and when one day seven years later you look up and boom! they are quietly sitting and reading together.  Nailed it!

This is 9x12 layout.  I slid one patterned paper on top of another. The large ampersand die cut from the main kit really helped to pump up the graphic pop off this page as does my large circular photo.
I stacked a few printed tags from the set in the BYO add-on to hold my title and journaling.

The starry blue paper is from the new Amy Tan line.  The plus sign paper is from Fancy Pants and has such a great texture to it.

I used another tag from the BYO add-on to include a little extra journaling.

The lime green stickers are from a Heidi Swapp pack also in the BYO add-ons.
January 2016 |  I only did a few pages in 2015 but I am starting fresh in 2016 with PL. This year I am trying a 9x12 size and hoping to keep things more manageable.

I used a lot few neutral cards here with lots of pops of color.

This is the second side.  We went to a kite flying festival at the temple.  I also included a few pictures of the yarn wrapping project turned tepee that I did with Avi's class.  And a random photo of oatmeal with blueberries and brown sugar.  Yumm.

I used quite a few Heidi Swapp and Fancy Pants puffy stickers over the DITL kit cards.

Happy | I loved these frame slides in the main kit.  I staggered them with black and white photos to make a grid layout.  I filled the frames with embellishments and other die cuts.  The rainbow view finder wheel is from a sheet of patterned paper.  One of my favorite papers from this month.

Be sure to check out this month's kit!  There are so many fun goodies from the BYO add-ons to bundle with the kits.   I love the tags, puffy stickers and letter stickers.  Click here to check out the shop.

Valentine's Heartbreaker Baby.

This baby is a total heartbreaker. He can't wait for Valentine's Day I'm sure.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen to him more often.

We took these pictures last year when he was just twelve months old.  I can't believe that he will be two years old so soon!

Faerie Tea Party at the Zilker Botanical Garden

Austin is a magical place.  And it really tries hard to stay that way.  The Annual Faerie Tea Party at the Zilker Botanical Garden is a case in point.  It is a bit hard to reserve a spot but if you can navigate the website it is totally worth it.

Last year was our first year going and I will keep taking her as long as she lets me.

I do her hair, put on her sparkly dress and faerie wings.  I let her dabble in my make up this year.  Blush and a little bit of lipstick.

At the Botanical Gardens they always have a little craft set up for the kids.  Last year we made flower crowns, this year was bookmarks.  Then the kids have teeny tiny cups of red zinger or juice with two or three big cubes of sugar.

They get little bits of fruit and a cupcake too. Then a story and hike through the grounds looking for evidence of faeries.

She is growing up so fast these days.  I don't know how much longer she will believe in Santa and Faeries and all.  But I hope that days like this will help her remember to always believe in magic.

December Daily | Days 23-25

Finally finishing up my December Daily album.  It has taken me a lot longer this year.  This is what happens to me though if I don't stay on a schedule.  I fall way behind and take forever to get it done.

The baby is so fun and full of joy always.  Dancing in the disco ball light around the living room.

I added a glittered Pow paper die cut on top of the full page photo.  I like the crisp look over the blurry photo.

A few polaroid style photos on right.  I stitched the photos in place on white paper.  I kept red thread in my sewing machine all month long.  Keep it simple where I can.

Too much glare I know.

Red and silver, and black and white.  Very graphic spread for my album so far.

I added some photos from the evening of the 23rd on the back.  We went to see more lights.  I cut a large translucent card to fit the pocket.  It adds a nice dimension to an otherwise pretty flat spread.

I finally added a picture of the tree.  I made it a half page insert.

Ryan took this picture of Lakshman and I which I put on the back.  I had this old and vintage Santa card from my Jenni Bowlin days.  I got this kraft envelope and tag in the mail from Christine, who owns Cocoa Daisy.  It was lovely to get a Christmas present.

I used Ali Edwards Celebrate December to stamp these sentiments here.  The wood veneer is a gift tag from the Target Dollar Spot.

Christmas morning!  Finally.  It took me so long to commit to which photos I wanted to use.

I used a divided squares page to hold lots of extra pictures and some scraps of wrapping paper that was left over.

I lightened my photos quite a bit to get them to work on this smaller scale.  It turned out a lot better than my last divided page I think.

More wrapping paper and photos on the back.  I made a stack of the paper on the outside and a grid inside.

I used the main kit's transparency here.  The gold circles look fantastic in the album.  I really love the design she created.

Elmo!  The baby is obsessed right now.  I used a large laser title and some word strips on top.  This one is a cell phone pic but it enlarged okay.

I printed out one really large pic.  I've always wanted to do this in a mini album and I think I finally had it turn out close to what I saw in my head. I had to crop it and print it on two sheets.  I used a strip of washi on one side and let some patterned paper peek through on the right.

The card is old Jenny Bowlin again.

I am so glad I blogged some Christmas memories.  It made it so easy to add all journaling together in one place.

I had to include at least a 4x6 photo of them reading together.

That's a wrap.

So glad it actually closes. Phew.  So, who's ready for January?

Ha.
