The kids were so excited when they woke up in the morning to open their advent calendars again. They raced down stairs and went straight for the chocolate. I am just so happy that they are enjoying the things we have going on. It's no Elf on the Shelf, but a tiny square of chocolate is enough excitement for them apparently.
I was so proud of Nandini because she opened her Lego box but patiently waited until she got back from school to put it together.
I added a 3x8 photo of Lakshman from the first. I love sleeping baby photos. I was really playing with fire with this one because I used my regular camera and it has a loud shutter. Amazingly, he slept through it.
I didn't use a page protector for this. Instead I folded a piece of gold foiled vellum and punched holes in it. I added a few more layers with the ribbon and strip of patterned paper. The little word strip is just popped up a bit.
I added one more photo on the back from the evening of the first. I couldn't really crop it down to 3x8, so this is more 4x8. I typed up a little word strip for the side and stitched it down with red thread.
The early morning picture of Nandini was dark so I just turned it to black and white. I think I like it better this way than if I did have good light. I just stapled the large red chipboard directly on to the page protector. I used the ribbon again on the journaling card here to tie in with the first 3x8 photo. I made a flip card of this too and journaled on the back as well.
Great pages! Love your color combo!
