I have butterflies in my stomach. And it is not the baby kicking me which feels more like, well, actual kicks.
I set up a date for an induction in March. The whole reality of the situation is starting to freak me out a bit. So much uncertainty and excitement.
Luckily the dates I chose with my doctor coincide with the travel plans my parents have already made.
I really don't know what else to do. Is there anything I can really do to prepare? We have a crib, I bought a diaper pail and tons of diapers today. My mom is bringing all of Avi's old baby clothes and car seat which she was storing for me in PA. I of course have bought a few new little outfits on my own too ;)
I am just nervous and scared right now. And happy. And excited. (This may also have something to do with the fact that I had a latte after my doctor's appointment, probably my first cup of coffee in weeks..)
What else is going on since we got back from our whirlwind month of vacations?
I have been craving Indian food all week, but my appetite is under control again finally.
We are trying to potty train Avinash, so far the only enticement that has any effect is gum. I think I need to take it up a notch soon.
Avi has been talking well and sings to himself all the time. He also still loves baby mm (dumbo) and asks to watch the DVD everyday. I try to limit it to once every few days as much as I can. He also loves his new dumbo book and always wants to draw baby mms when we color.
We have been doing lots of playdates, story times and crafts.
He is so expressive and cute. When I tell him no (and he chooses to listen), he looks down and says 'ohhh' very dejectedly.
New baby is a definite night owl, I can feel almost nothing all day and then bam! the party starts right after midnight every night.
Avinash talks about his cousin Lo-ily all the time and wants to know where she is. I miss california and hanging out with Mona didi so much too, but we are settling back into our old routine here.

Top 10 for 2010
Even though I have only finished scrapping pictures up to August, I thought I would post some of my favorite layouts from last year on here. Hopefully this will motivate me to get more done soon!
Zoo Day! I just love the colors, punched paper and the monkey sticker (which matches Avi's monkey costume!). I added buttons to echo the circles on the paper.
So Dapper. Just a really cute picture of Avinash, matted with some cute animal paper.
Play Laugh. This is Avi's campaign poster-esque layout. I didn't do any journaling to keep the page simple and clean. Love the way it turned out.
Bluebonnets & indian paintbrush. Driving out to the middle of nowhere, Texas just to see the wildflowers was so much fun!
New loft. I love the hodge-podge scrappy feel of this layout.
Smooth criminal. I love all the random concerts we come upon on our nightly walks in the park. Hearing the motown revue's rehearsals of Michael Jackson was a total bonus.
Sugar High - We went to Canopy for brunch one morning in San Fransisco. The food was amazing and Avinash had what he loves best: syrup! Plus I love how he looks in that sailor outfit.
Elephant Adventure. Avinash loves seeing this page in his album because it is him with a huge elephant. One of our many Smithsonian adventures in DC this summer.
i carry your heart - I love this poem and I love the way this layout turned out. Those little ultrasound pictures are so precious to me and I had so much fun putting this together.
Cupid Love - from way back in February. I am still so touched by the flowers that Avinash (via Anuj) sent me.

We're back!
We are back at home for a total of two and a half days before jetting off to California. We had a blast at Disney World and had so many good times. I took over 900 pictures and over 50 video clips. Before I go through all of them and post some of my favorites, I had to share this little gem.
Avinash likes pointing out letters he sees on signs (S-T-O-P bop!) and would occupy himself a little bit with that activity while on the bus. This is him pointing at the letter S, but saying P instead.
The video cuts off when he realizes I'm taping him and he wants to hold the camera himself.
Is he sarcastic or what? Wonder where he got that from...
