Cocoa Daisy Scrapbook Projects | June Kit Walden Pond

The June kits from Cocoa Daisy are just so gorgeous.  They are packed with brand new goodies from Pink Fresh Studios, Pink Paislee and Pretty Little Studios.  I am also so in love with the color schemes and designs of the custom papers and DITL cards this month.  I mean, just look at those flags!

I really love the mix of textures in the embellishments this month.  I used the acrylic words from the main kit on every single project.  I got the Pink Fresh rubber charms and Pink Paislee wood veneer ephemera from the Build Your Own Add On.

Hello Dallas | We took a trip to Dallas last month to see a specialist for Lakshman.  We took the opportunity to visit the city and see the children's museum.  It was such a fun place.
I just loved these cards from the DITL kit this month.  I layered them on this layout with a 4x6 photo for this layout. How awesome is that wave pattern?  I love it.  The colors are just really vibrant.

May Day | We love to recreate this tradition from my alma mater. I wanted to include multiple photos and printed them small to make a tidy little grid.  I used the word strip stickers to make a border.

Grads | This was such a nice little celebration for Nandini and her classmates.  My friend took this picture and it just might be my favorite ever.  A bunch of the kids were on the tire swing together. I typed a cute little phrase from the Vitamin C song 'Graduation' on the large tag and hand wrote the rest of the journaling.

I always love it when my daisies are blooming at the same time as my box arrives.

Check out the kits here! It is time for subscribers to start shopping.

Week in the Life | Thursday & Friday Pages

These are the last two days of my Week in the Life 2015 album that I need to share.  My Friday story and Thursday words are here if you want to get more of the story.

Notice how the opening photo is still dark.  That was a long night.

I do tend to take these phrases and sayings quite literally.  How we roll, indeed.

I'm so glad I told that long story about Nandini and roller skating here.  Though when we went back a few months later it was back to square one again with her.

Very photo heavy, but I staggered the color and black and white pictures.
Patterned paper and some stamped + watercolored flowers together. I like having a little variety in my page tabs.

I was so nervous about his new school then.  I'm still adjusting but at least I know it better now.

I trimmed a 4x4 square page in half for this little series of cute photos.

Lots of black and white in here.  Simple and beautiful.  Yes.

My previous week in the life posts are here. See my completed Week in the Life album from 2014 and 2013 here.

Week in the Life | Saturday and Sunday Pages 2015

I am doing Week in the Life again this year along with Ali Edwards.  I have done this project for five years running.

It is basically a mini album that focuses one normal week each year.
A good combo of photos + words.
If you have noticed me taking an inordinate amount of seemingly inane pictures recently, this is why.
I usually share my album pages during this week, but I have barely started on it.  In looking back I saw that I only shared half my album from last year too.

So while I work on this years, I thought I would complete the 2015 Week in the Life pages as well.  Here are Saturday and Sunday of the week.

I did a comparison shot of our front yard in AM and PM.  I love the font of those thin wiry letters contrasted with the bright scalloped circle.

So funny to look back at how shy she was when her teacher came to visit.  She now wants her to come back again.  Lol.

I really went for the pink on this page.  It matches her dress and the flowers from the second page as well.

I double layered this photo with a translucent overlay in photoshop and then a transparent card over top that in the album.

The journaling here is all about my garden.  My plants have changed a little but the words remain very true.

Yum.

Photoshop journaling and stickers.  I love this kind of hybrid scrapbooking.

I just love how this  photo turned out. I used an Ali Edwards digital brush with my typed journaling. The words are a little more legible in person.

I love adding things directly to the album without a page protector.  I backed the large photo with this patterned paper.

So many peacocks.  I couldn't resist.

I did a good job with food photos this year.

My album ends the night before Avi started first grade.  The end of one adventure and off to the next!

Thanks for checking out my pages! I will be back with this years album soon I hope.
