Day in the Life: February 28, 2013

I am back sharing another Day in the Life. I am slowly filling up my mini album one page at a time.  My goal is to keep it simple and do-able.  I took 269 pictures that day and pared it down to 18 to include in the album.  I think I will try to pare this down even further in the future.

I painted a transparency with some pink+gold acrylic craft paint (Martha Stewart). The flair is new dear Lizzy Lucky Charm.

I used one sheet of 12x12 cardstock again for the inside.  I trimmed it down to 12x4 strips.  I cut up two into 4x6 pieces for my photos.  The other strip I folded in half and tucked inside the page protector to hold my journaling.
I used washi tape to hold the pictures together and added a little cluster of embellishments on the outside, dear Lizzy stickers, and FF wood arrow.

I wanted to keep the decorations to a minimum but I had to find a way to use my SC February stamp again.  I added a few sentiments from my new dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine roller stamps.  I stamped it with midtone grey.  I stitched around the outside in gold thread. I did the same thing last month and I think it gives the paper a more finished look.

I added a strip of rainbow No. washi tape as well.  I made a few quick notes about our day on the first page.  The inner pages are notes to everyone all about the little things that I love.

Check out how I started out my album here:

  3. It turned out so cute. Such adorable details. And every time I visit your blog I am tickled by the pics in your blog banner - especially the one of your daughter crying. That is real life. Great photos!
