Project Life Goodies

I have some new project life goodies to share.  I found out about the new line from Martha Stewart at Staples and basically rushed over and bought everything she had.  My order arrived in the mail the other day and I had almost an hour to play with it yesterday during a very abbreviated nap time thanks to two sick babies.  Thankfully this stuff made catching up with some old pictures easy to do.
I wanted to share because I really loved the stuff.  It is relatively affordable, high quality, versatile and perfect for Project Life!!  I added the new sheet protectors right into my album and stuffed some of the tags and stickers inside the first two for easy access.  They are about 4x5.5 so I can add my vertical photos in with a slight trim (I am using PL style A otherwise and it doesn't have vertical photo slots.)

I also used one sheet for pictures today.  After sorting some new prints I only had time for one sheet (front and back, but the front picture was too blurry to share..).  Some of the stuff is from my stash, like the backing from a set of Jenni Bowlin alphas, the Amy Tangerine die cut.  I also used my new Jenni Bowlin punch to make the little sticker with one of the martha note pad papers.

Ok, here is the back, even if it is blurry.  Does anyone have good tips for photographing these page protectors?  I used more Martha stickers, a few strips of glittery patterned paper,u and one little strip of a doily left over from a Studio Calico almost a year old.  Hmm..at least this helping me get over my hoarding tendencies.

I was totally inspired by a friend and fellow scrapbooking mom to make something with Avinash using my new punches too.  She made some gorgeous tags that way.  We only made stickers for our shirts by punching the sticky note pad paper, but we had fun.

The rest of the stuff put away in my album.  Those little flags will be perfect for adding the date as I usually do that as an afterthought.  The tags all come with baker's twine around them and are perfect for little journaling spots.

I also really, really love the quality of the these red label stickers. They are thick and finely textured.  She also has kraft stickers and chalkboard stickers.  I think I'm supposed to use this stuff to organize my home and pantry but we all know that isn't happening any time soon.  I found it to be a great value too because you get a lot with each set (they are $3 to $4 each).  These red ones are 48/pack and the multicolored ones are 120/pack.  They should definitely last me a long time.

And, just so I don't get too far behind, some happenings of the week so far.
Sunday: Tiny Boxwoods brunch. Avi dipping his fries in butter while we all eat nothing but pastries.
Ryan and I watch Hum Tum, the bollywood remake of When Harry Met Sally.  So happy that Ryan enjoyed it.  A couples moment of dancing together during a song turns into a family moment very very quickly, ha.
Avi and I walk along the train tracks in the park on our evening walk.  We had decided to see if we could hear lions so we were all walking towards the zoo.  We discover a trojan bear on the way.  Avi can't climb to the top on the way to the zoo, but can do it on the way back.  Nandini is delighted to play peek a boo on the other side.  We don't hear any animals at the zoo but we come upon some bunnies and scare them away and have a great adventure anyway.
Monday: Pondicheri brunch.  Aloo subji and parantha that rivals Bina Mamiji's in Kavi Nagar.  Unlike India, we have to sit at the table with our own kids instead of just letting them run around on the floor by themselves, this puts a slight damper on things.  At least the coffee is amazing too.
The cookie {play}date.  Cuteness, frosting, chasing, crying and kissing ensues.  This time we do just let Nandini fend for herself on the floor while helping the kids bake.
All 8 of us have dinner together outside on the patio (in January, jealous?).  We have pizza and Cupcake Red Velvet, it is so lovely.
Avinash is spinning around like a top after they leave and is running laps all over the place on our evening walk.
Tuesday:  Family breakfast, eggs on garlic ciabbatta.  Children's museum where I show Avi the leeches and tell him how I scared Ryan with them when I did a science project with them in school.
"You scared Bappi? That not nice"
and two seconds later....
"Can I go there mommy? Please?"
That was like ten years ago.
"YEAH YEAH! I see you ten years old! PLEASE!"
Noodles with tofu and cotija cheese for lunch.
Pancakes for dinner.
On our walk, I put the blanket around Nandini and she grabs with her two tiny little hands and starts lifting it over her head to play peekaboo with us!  The cuteness is almost unbearable.  Avi suddenly remembers that he LOVES peekaboo and jumps in the stroller to play too.  But not with her, he wants us to laugh at him too...ha.
Wednesday: Avi is back to school. After I pick him up the three of us go to the park to feed the ducks, read books and have a little picnic. Both kids fall asleep in the stroller on the way home but won't stay asleep, argh! The rest of the day is lazy since all have the sniffles. Getting frustrated because I know think it might have to do with the dampness still in our walls. The owners of our apartment are willing to get it fixed but expect us to arrange it all, not fun.

  10. ENABLER! I'm going to break my rule of not buying anything new. If I buy that stuff to organize my house and then accidentally use some in my PL, that's totally acceptable, right?
