decdaily 2 + Project Life

So, I sat down and worked on project life today.  After printing out all my pictures I still ended up working on December Daily first, because I am still so excited about it.  Because I didn't feel like going back to print more pictures I decided to put in our holiday card instead.

I went ahead and used the gift card holder from Gap here.  (I'm trying hard not to hoard things!)  Simply glued on the front.  I added a little red candy dot and tied a gold thread around to keep the insert from sliding out.

I included the back on the back.  I trimmed some glitter red ribbon to put along the bottom.  I added the year and title in gold glitter thickers and letter stickers.

And, I eventually got to finish my PL too (after bedtime of course).  So much of this spread is our trip to see friends in Austin and visit Sea World together.  I honestly don't remember much else from the week, but I think it's fine if not every week is documented in detail.  Here is my spread:

I printed my pictures at 3.5 x 5 because I wanted to use less paper.  I got some matte photo paper (staples brand) from my Dad and it prints so much better than cardstock.  Unfortunately this meant I had a little more work to do to fill up the pockets. Instagram + SLR pics here.  I wanted to finish this spread quickly, so I used a lot of core kit cards and pre-printed journaling cards (from Geralyn's Shoppe).

Nandini is such a light sleeper.  I love telling random little stories in PL.  I added the heart bokeh with PicsArt app (free for android).  Matted the photo on pink paper and outlined it with gold pen.

We are making s'mores here.  The amount of crying and whining about s'mores on the four hour car ride was insane, but I may write about that later.  I used this KP stamp again, stamped with white chalk ink.  So love how it looks.  Almost letterpress?

I used one of my polaroid cuts to make Avi and Ryan stand out.  We did a little photo shoot at our hotel in San Antonio.  I had a lot of nice posed shots, but I had to use the silly one.

I added this photo to finish up.  I cut out a piece of the bag an SC kit comes in and stamped it in grey.  Wood letters are my favorite, these new Darling Dear ones are such a perfect size for PL.  The label is Heidi Swapp.

Let me know if you have any questions. Linked up with Ali Edwards for my December Daily and The Mom Creative for Project Life Tuesday. The PL kit I am using is the Clementine kit, with multi-pack page protectors, and grid journaling cards. Thank you so much to everyone in this wonderful community. I love all the feedback and looking at everything people do each week. It definitely keeps me motivated. Also, please include a link to your projects below so we can check them out too!

LOVE your Project LIfe- I gave up on mine back in February and now I deeply regret it because I love the pages I did make. what got to me was the printing- sizing everything down took so long! I needed the time for my DT assignments. I think I'll try it again this year. Thanks for the kick in the pants. :) I also wouldn't worry about missing out on journaling for PL- I got the photos are outstanding!
