8 short years and 4 long months

 Ryan and I celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary together last night.  It feels like no time has passed. It feels like we were just kids when we got married and we still are kids.  I met Ryan when I was 19, which is crazy to think about.

Even though we still feel like kids, we have been through so much. New cities and new jobs. A baby boy and baby girl. We have our share of ups and downs. We became a family.

When I think about it how it works and why it works the main reason I find is this.  He is mine.  I am his.  Remembering that is so important.  All the details, like movie tastes, politics, favorite foods, etc are ethereal.  What is permanent is our bond and that is all that matters. 

And, we are still growing.

I am pregnant again! 

We feel so blessed.  I am four months along right now. Sometimes I have to convince myself that it is real but then I will feel wave of nausea come over me.  {I always try to tell myself that getting sick means the baby is healthy and suddenly I don't feel so bad.}  The fact that I am already sporting a basketball sized tummy all of a sudden doesn't hurt either.  

The baby appears to be growing so well the doctor moved our due date up by two weeks at my last appointment.  Having a baby measure big for anything is a first for us!  Of course there are still more blood tests and ultrasounds to come, as with any baby, but we are hopeful.
